Terms of service

Last updated October 22, 2026

These terms cover the services PHPFixes ("we", "us") provides to you ("you", the customer). By approving a quote or paying for a service, you agree to them. They're written to be read, so if anything is unclear, email help@phpfixes.com before you book.

1. What we do

We scan servers you control for vulnerable PHP and signs of compromise, update PHP to builds that fix known security issues, upgrade end-of-life PHP to supported versions, apply related configuration hardening, and provide ongoing PHP security maintenance under a Care plan. The exact scope of each job is the plan you choose plus anything we agree in writing before work starts.

2. Prices and payment

3. The no fix, no fee guarantee

If we can't get a server onto a PHP release that fixes the issues in scope, you don't pay for that server. If you've already paid, we refund it in full. The guarantee applies per server, and covers our fee for the plan you bought. It doesn't apply if the job couldn't be completed because access wasn't provided, or because you asked us to stop.

4. Access to your systems

5. Your responsibilities

6. Changes and rollbacks

Updating software can change how an application behaves. If something breaks during our work, we roll back to the previous working state first, then fix forward with your agreement. Fixing application code beyond what your plan includes is billed as extra engineering, only after you approve a quote.

7. Liability

We do the work carefully and to the standard of an experienced systems engineer. We can't guarantee that a server will never be compromised, by these flaws or anything else, and we aren't responsible for compromises that happened before our work started. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any job is limited to the amount you paid for it, and we're not liable for indirect losses such as lost profits or lost data.

8. Confidentiality

We treat everything we learn about your systems as confidential and use it only to do the work. Reports belong to you.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version in force when you approve a quote applies to that job.
